Well, I love decoring stuff. Sit still for too long, and I'm liable to cover you in fabric and candlesticks. When I was decorating my very first apartment, I was looking for the perfect dining room table and chairs. I wandered furniture stores for hours, and I never found anything that I felt reflected my personality. I got frustrated enough that I went to Ikea, got a chair shape that I liked and refinished them to my taste. Being able to make my environment exactly what I liked became an itch I liked scratching.

I've always enjoyed artsy-craftsy stuff, but much of it is geared towards a much different aesthetic. And in the challenge of bending the concepts to my will, the idea of my own website sharing those ideas was born. I let it ferment for a while, before I sent it out to play.
